Lost In Paradise…
June 27, 2012Next up, on the honeymoon review, is 17 Mile Drive and Carmel!
But first, before I get into the beautiful scenery, Jess and I got lost along the way and stumbled across the most cutest town ever….Capitola. I loved this beach town. It was tucked away off the beaten path and I am so glad we got lost there! All of the cute houses reminded me of buildings that I have seen in pictures of Greece (one of the destinations on my bucket list!).
Next up – 17 Mile Drive. It started off pretty gloomy – cold and a bit rainy. Regardless, it was still quite stunning.
This drive is most famous for their three high end golf courses, Spyglass Hill, Cypress Point and Pebble Beach.
After driving and stopping along 17 Mile Drive, we drove through Carmel. Unfortunately it ended up being a miserable day where we couldn’t take too many pictures but take my word on it, it was beautiful and so romantic.
Check out this gas station! We just had to stop and take some pictures! I fell in love with every aspect of it, ranging from the building, to the antique pumps, to their incredible landscaping and light posts! Also, I cannot describe the size of their succulents in California. they were bigger than the size of my head and some were even taller and wider than me! Just amazing.
Has anyone done this drive as well? Would love to hear your favourite spots!
Happy Hoopla Wednesday!

California has had my heart for years now. It’s gorgeous and I’m so glad you went there with Jess. Laguna Beach was probably the most stunning beach town I have ever seen…even if I didn’t see Lauren Conrad!
As for the succulents, plant some hens and chicks in your garden asap. They are so easy to grow!
