Ever heard of Kinfolk Magazine?

It’s seriously a work of art. The photos are gorgeous. The editorials are classy and the style is unlike anything else that’s out there right now.

Okay, enough gushing.

Not only do the Kinfolk folks publish a beautiful magazine, they have been holding a dinner series across the U.S. where they pick an insanely beautiful location, team up with local caterers and vendors and send an open invitation to like-minded individuals to come and enjoy. You may have seen some photos of the gatherings on blogs and Pinterest.

Anyways, what I have been trying to say all along is…Kinfolk is making it’s way to Toronto on July 14th!  They describe the dinner as a “day-long series of workshops, spent with a small group at a lakeside cottage just outside of Toronto. We’ll be cooking and baking together in preparation for a big summer meal shared at the end end of the day.”

C’mon, does that not sound like heaven?

They’ve also teamed up with some pretty well-known partners – West Elm, Mjölk, Herriott Grace, La Merceria and more.

Unfortunately, I can’t go. It’s Aidan’s birthday and I really couldn’t leave him hanging for the day. I’m also going to be pretty large-and-in-charge by then and the day-long workshops might not work with my swelling feet and sore back.

Limited spots are offered via lottery, but you can still apply for a ticket.

Come someone please go? And tell me all about it??

On a totally unrelated note, it’s my birthday today! I’m off for a massage, mani-pedi and then I’m picking up my peach-coloured, 50′s club chair from GUFF for the nursery! Happy Birthday to me!
